There was a tramway line from a nearby limestone quarry to the canal bridge. The flat ground running from the bridge, westwards, was therefore the track area where the limestone was transhipped to the boats.

Auparant une ligne de tram venant d'une carrière de calcaire toute proche aboutissait au pont. La plate forme à droite était un quai où le calcaire était transbordé dans les péniches.
